About Us
Austek Personnel was established in 1988. Although the foundations were laid in Engineering recruitment, the industry focus was later expanded to cover the Finance, Office Support and I.T. sectors. For nearly 20 years, Austek Personnel has provided a variety of recruitment services to clients such as small businesses, councils and large multinationals.
The Team
John O'Dowd
John began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1969 with a large multinational in Melbourne. After some years working on offshore and onshore projects John's career took him overseas where he gained valuable experience while based in Europe. He returned to Melbourne in 1974 where he resumed his association with the industry.
In 1988 John perceived an opportunity for a niche recruitment business with the focus on the supply of quality personnel to service the oil and gas industry. At this point Austek Personnel was established.
Since that time John has developed a reputation for supplying quality personnel and has enjoyed long term relationships with clients and on-hired personnel alike. This is due to his commitment to provide the best quality service possible and is reflected in the positive reputation that Austek Personnel enjoys in the industry.
Dusica Morgan
After completing her Bachelor's degree in 1998, Dusica began recruiting for the Engineering industry, specialising in the mining, petrochemical and civil sectors. Since joining Austek Personnel in 1999, Dusica has broadened the industry focus to areas such as aerospace engineering, office support and IT.
Dusica is a great relationship builder who provides high level service and comes highly recommended by those she has worked with. She has recruited for all levels of engineering and technical personnel from graduate engineers to project managers covering all disciplines and associated support personnel.
In addition Dusica can act as an external HR/Recruitment Advisor as she has provided this service to clients in the past. We will happily discuss your particular requirements and provide advice tailored to your company. As an experienced technical recruiter Dusica would be pleased to assist you with your contract and permanent staffing needs.
Julia Soldaini
Julia began her career working in the finance department of a large engineering organisation. While she enjoyed working in accounts, she felt that she needed work with more personal interaction. So, having completed her Bachelor’s degree, she undertook a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management where she discovered her passion for recruiting.
Since joining Austek, Julia has focused her attention to the areas she knows best – accounting and administration. Having worked in accounts closely with administration staff, Julia knows the types of people and qualifications you need and with a detailed discussion of your requirements she can find the right person to fit in your organisation.
Julia’s approach to recruitment is simply to provide you with the highest quality candidates possible. With a ‘no-nonsense’ professional manner and a focus on quality service, Julia will ensure that you are kept up to date at all stages of the recruitment process.
